Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music and old Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves Tangos, opera and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to sing and play the piano from an early age, along alongside her mother. The formal vocal training in the year she turned 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. In the years following her relocation into California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist with classical Latin American music at private events. She has been involved in many local organizations, both as an instructor and performer due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to be able communicate with other people her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep this music alive.
