Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. He then joined Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the years following. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental part of his life. While a youngster, was playing the ukulele and piano. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his profession.
