Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best known for her role in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Kun..! Her career began as an actress in the 1980s. Her fame was boosted by Tezaab, a film starring an established actor Anil Kooor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she shared screen space with Aamir. Her birthplace was in an Mumbai middle class family and began to dance when she was a child. As a young woman when she began to act, she struggled as many of her films were flops. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and was one of the top actresses in the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a pause from her acting career. Later, she returned. Recently, she had in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit is nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. Her work in the field of social service is well-known.
